Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. (Mark Twain)

Sibiu

Sibiu was founded in the twelfth century by Transylvanian Saxons, but among all the cities built by by them, it was the largest, the wealthiest and the most powerful one.

Our apartment was located in the city center, on the famous Azilului street, next to the Liars' Bridge, which was the first iron bridge in Romania. We did not want to loose time and we went for a walk to discover Sibiu.

We did not have a plan, we just wanted to walk around with no purpose. We were taking random streets and discovering Sibiu's hidden gems located in the Upper town and Lower town with colorful houses and cobblestone streets.

Sibiu turned out to be a very lovely and charming city. Also much bigger than Sighisoara.

In the late afternoon, in Piata Mare, there was some festival, so we had opportunity to watch some traditional dances performed by dozens of dancers.
